LEED Materials and Resources

Steel is produced from mills that use Basic Oxygen Furnace (BOF) and Electric Air Furnace (EAF) processes that use a significant portion of scrap metal to produce the steel. The recycled content can count toward LEED credits.

The recycled content of BOF steel for the purpose of LEED certification is 28.9% and 31.4% for EAF steel resulting in 72.6% available for credit.

The human body is designed to stand, not sit. ESI’s new beneFIT family of adjustable height bases are good solutions encouraging movement in the workplace.

There are four models which fit into virtually any budget; Crank, Pneumatic, Value Electric and Premium Electric.

  • Concealed crossbars provide exceptional knee clearance and room for mobile peds
  • All bases include adjustable glides for precise leveling
  • Bases available to fit work surfaces 36” - 96” in length and 24” - 30” in depth

  • Available in 2-Leg configurations only

  • C-Leg configuration

 
  • Currently, all the Pneumatic bases, regardless of size, ship standard with a 400N (N=Newton=measure of force) cynlinder which will support 37 to 70 pounds. This cylinder should be sufficient for all the Pneumatic bases we offer, however, if there are several heavy accessories on a large table top, you may want to consider using a 550N cylinder (70+ pounds) instead. Likewise, if you have a table base using a small 36 X 24 top with no accessories, you may want to consider using a 300N cynlinder (1 to 37 pounds).
  • The weight ranges each cylinder can support are:
    1 - 37 pounds (300N)
    37 - 70 pounds (400N)
    70+ pounds (550N)
  • *Must consult Customer Service before ordering if heavy equipment will be used on work surface. Standard gas spring specified is for weight of normal work surface and office devices.

Freight Terms

For adjustable table base and/or work surface orders totaling under $5,000 List, a 5% shipping fee (of the total List) will be charged. To meet the minimum total, orders must be shipped to one location, dock-to-dock. Call ESI for delivery information.

Standard Configurations

All work surfaces ship standard with Pionite Gray Spektrum Laminate and Black T-mold.

A wide variety of laminates and T-mold colors are available, most at no up-charge. Other work surface shapes available. Please contact us for details.
